In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Petition of Judith Clayton, Widow of Isaac Clayton, who died on board the HAMPSHIRE. She asks that their Lordships grant an order that the allowance made to widows may also be made for the loss of her son. [Note on document]: By the rules of the Navy the Widow cannot have the bounty for the loss of her son in addition to that for her husband. She has already had a bill made out for the loss of her husband. Signed by S. Thomas, and W. Thornton; Church Wardens.
