In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Due to uncertainties concerning the supply of Provisions to the Squadron in the Straits, the Commissioners for Victualling have proposed that general credit should be granted to Admiral Aylme for use in various ports in the western Mediterranean, including Livorno, Naples and Alicante. The Admiralty express great reservations and urge the Victualling Board to consider alternative arrangements.
