Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

The Admiralty, having written to the Navy Board regarding the Surgeon of the Dockyard at Plymouth, have received another letter from Commissioner St. Loe on the same subject an extract of which is enclosed. The Admiralty wish to know whether the Surgeon at Plymouth should be required to "watch in his turn" and whether Surgeons at other Yards should do the same.
