In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Confirming a Commission granted by Captain Phineas Bowles late Commander of the NORWICH when in the West Indies dated 31st July 1698 appointing Mr John Comes to be Lieutenant of the Norwich, and directing that he be paid for his time in that ship provided the Navy Board has no other objections.
