Proposals put forward by a Mr Hammond for the preservation of ships in harbour from decay are not to be proceeded with; but the suggestions made by Officers at Chatham to remove the bulkheads forming the Powder Rooms and Bread Rooms in the Holds of ships are to go ahead.
