In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the ST PAUL and the RICHARD & JOHN fireships at Spithead, to be surveyed and, if found to be in condition for service in the West Indies, fitted and supplied with stores and provisions. If they are not found fit, you are to have two other fireships fitted and supplied with stores and provisions for that service.
