In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the several fireships mentioned, the JOHN OF DUBLIN, SOPHIA, CHARLES, and CHARLES and HENRY at Spithead. The THOMAS and ELIZABETH, CADIZ MERCHANT and HALF MOON at Deptford, to be surveyed and the three you think most proper fitted in all respects and victualled for service in the Mediterranean. The others, if upon survey they appear fit, for service in the Channel.
