In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We enclose a list of their Majesties ships and vessels hired and those in sea pay, not included in the Winter Guard or any service near home, and direct you to prepare an estimate for this Board of the wages due to their companies, and also hire and freight of the hired ships to 15 November next. You are directed to have the ships of the Mediterranean and West India squadrons, reduced to their middle complement of men and victualled accordingly. Those of the Mediterranean to 3 months wet and 6 months dry and those for the West Indies to 8 months, of such species as is proper. Lastly, you are directed to forbear fitting the FUBBS yacht for service in the Mediterranean, she being to continue Channel service.
