In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to have the victualling for the squadron of ships for the Mediterranean, to be completed to 12 months, of which there is no more wet to be sent than 2 months, notwithstanding our former orders for 3 months wet provisions. You are to take care that for the portion of the provisions that the ships cannot take in, you are to provide shipping to transport it under convoy.
