In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The PORTLAND, FALCON and SAPHIRE are to be manned with their middle complement of Men and supplied with Stores and Provisions for service in the Mediterranean. The Supernumeraries aboard the FALCON are to be put aboard the PORTLAND as soon as possible as she has been ordered to proceed to Spithead. A notice announcing that Seamen are to receive two month's pay is to be displayed at the Navy Board's office and in other public places and another concerning the paying of Men turned over into ships going to the West Indies and Straits.
