In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Jennings Commander of the EXPERIMENT needs a Smack or other suitable vessel to carry whatever Men he is able to secure to serve in his ship at Chatham. Instructions are given to meet Jennings requirement and to hire other vessels for similar purposes from time to time; with the proviso that they must be discharged as soon as they have fulfilled their respective tasks.
