Document signed by Phineas Bowles, Secretary to the Admiralty [1689-1690], 1647-1714.

Enclosing an extract of a letter from Captain Barber of the TIGER Prize at Plymouth in which he complains that his eight months Provisions have not arrived. Orders are given for him to be supplied immediately, together with further supplies for the HANNIBAL and FORESIGHT. The Navy Board has nominated three people for the post of Agent in Ireland for transporting troops, but the Admiralty, having reviewed the names, has decided that all three are currently indispensable in their present roles and cannot be spared. Further suggestions are called for.
