In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
In obedience of His Majesties Commands signified to this Board, we do hereby desire and direct you , to cause to be payed unto Captain Edward Halley, out of the money in the hands of the Treasurer of the Navy upon account of the Tenthes of Prizes, the sum of Two Hundred Pounds, in consideration of his great pains and care in a late voyage made for the discovering the Variation of the Needle.
