In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
On what was discussed during your attendance here yesterday concerning the Petition of Captain Aldred, some time Lieutenant of the DOVER, and Francis George, late Mate of the GERMOON Prize, we direct you to cause Captain Aldred to be paid as Lieutenant of the said Ship to the 10th of February 1696/7, the day he said he was discharged from her, provided no other person is borne or paid as Lieutenant in his place from the time he was sent sick ashore.
You are also to cause Francis George to be paid as Mate of the GERMOON to the time of his discharge from her, provided he is not indebted for any Victualling accounts while he had charge of her after the death of Captain Boys, this Board not thinking it fit to pay him as Commander for that time.
