Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

Sir George Rooke, Admiral of the Fleet, has desired that that a new 16 oared Boat may be sent to the BOYNE in the Downs. Rear Admiral Benbow has a Boat of that sort which was last built, and their being an 18 oared boat lately built in the River, I am commanded to cause this Boat to be sent to the Boyne in the Downs, to which Ship Rear Admiral Munden removes.
