In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to solicit the Treasury for Money to pay off the RYE, SWAN, SOLEBAY and LOOE, and give us an account when the Treasury is so furnished. When the Ships are paid off their Repairs should be taken in hand ready for any Service that may be required.
Vice Admiral Benbow has desired that all the Ships which are appointed for Service in the West Indies may be allowed worn Canvas for awnings to cover the Fore part of their Decks, so that the serviceable sails may not be damaged for that use.
We direct that you cause them to be furnished accordingly.
