Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

The Admiralty Commissioners having a meeting with you tomorrow, I am sending undermentioned the heads of such matters they intend to discuss.
Upon the Victualling Commissioners desiring to be excused the expense of sending Bread in Water Casks for the Ships bound to the West Indies, and also of furnishing fresh Provisions for the Seamen in the hospital there. Upon a letter from the Duke of Bedford desiring that one John Gill may be entered as a Labourer in the Deptford Yard. Upon a letter from Captain Fairfax of the CAMBRIDGE desiring his Wages may be reserved for him till he has passed his Accounts, and a reasonable time allowed him for doing this. Upon a Petition of Peter Crow, late Gunner of the MEDWAY Prize, desiring payment of his Servant's Wages, John Hughes in the FUBBS Yacht, notwithstanding he is made Run in the MACHINE Prize on the 12th December 1695, the time of his apprenticeship with him expiring on the 25th October proceeding.
