In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We have considered your letter of yesterday's date and according to your proposal we direct you to cause the Men leant from the JERSEY, SOLEBAY, LOOE and SWAN to rig and carry the ROYAL SOVEREIGN to Chatham, to be employed in bringing the ST ANDREW to Woolwich, where it ordered to be rebuilt.
We direct you to give Orders for the Victualling Commissioners to pay Sir George Rooke, Admiral of the Fleet, the money necessary to pay the Men in his Squadron their Water money in case there is no opportunity to buy Wine instead of Beer.
The Commander of the hired Ship BENJAMIN who attended us this morning has given us an account of the Provisions to be put on board her for 1000 soldiers. We also give directions for Provisions to be put on board the three Ships hired to transport 500 soldiers to the West Indies.
