Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

I have communicated to the Admiralty Commissioners your letter of yesterday's date concerning the two Ships which you have taken up to carry 500 Soldiers from Ireland to Jamaica, and I am directed to inform you that the Soldiers are to be taken on board at Cork, and tomorrow I shall send you Protections for the Men of these Ships during their voyage.
You should cause the two Ships to hasten to Spithead, and solicit the Treasury for Money to defray the Charge of this Service.
