In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you, notwithstanding former Orders to the contrary, to cause the OXFORD at Sheerness to be laid up there, and her Commissioned and Warrant officers, together with the Mates, Midshipmen and other inferior Officers paid their Wages, and that all her Foremast Men be removed to the GRAFTON at the Buoy of the Nore and paid the Wages due to them.
Several of the Foremast Men are now employed in Rigging the SOVEREIGN and are to assist in carrying her from Woolwich to Chatham. You are therefore not to turn them over until the SOVEREIGN arrives there.
