Letter dated 28 January 1778 and signed by 23 officers serving under the command of Arthur Lysaght’s father, Captain Arthur Lysaght, expressing thanks for his leadership. According to information provided on the Lysaght family tree (see LYS/8/1) Captain Arthur Lysaght served in the Indian Army and died as a colonel in 1783 or 1784 in the Madras Presidency.
