Photograph of ship model by Maudslay Sons & Field, the first iron steam vessels constructed on the Thames LORD WILLIAM BENTINCK, THAMES, MEGNA and JUMNA constructed for the East India Company in 1832 for the navigation of the Ganges, enclosed with letter to McCrae fom H.J. Chubb, 28 October 1971. The photograph was obtained from the Science Museum.
