La Platense Flotilla Co. was an unsuccessful south-American business venture for P. Henderson & Co. An account of this company can be found in 'Paddy Henderson' by Dorothy Laird (1962). Material comprises of: Note for Thomas Jackson and J. Innes (liquidators) for sanction to carrying on business, 4 March 1895; Memorandum and Articles of Association, 1886; Letter from Manager, St Enoch Hotel, re. the coal contract for La Platense, 15 October 1894; various notices to shareholders (1887, 1888, two for 1889, 1890); two copies of Sale notice; fleet list for 1887 until liquidation; a manuscript document of four pages dated December 1885, about the formation of the company; a typed list cut from an envelope labeled 'La Platense Flotilla Company Limited' with details of contents.
