In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to cause the Provisions the SAMUEL & HENRY and SCEPTRE need to complete what they are directed to be supplied with, to be put on board the JAMES at Gravesend, the CULPEPPER at Blackwall, and the BOOTH at Blackwall, which are going under their Convoy to Virginia, by putting a proportion of twenty or twenty five Tons on board each of the three Merchant Ships, to be delivered to the Men of War upon their arrival in Virginia, the Owners having undertaken to transport the same gratis.
You are to take care that the SAMUEL & HENRY and SCEPTRE have sufficient Provisions on board them.
