The hired Ships SAMUEL& HENRY and SCEPTRE, now in the Downs, are to Convoy the Merchant Ships to Virginia. In their letter of the 4th inst; the Admiralty Commissioners directed you to put part of the Provisions which they have not taken in, on board three of the Merchant Ships going under their Convoy, namely the JAMES, CULPEPPER and BOOTH, which were then in the River. On being informed that they are now in the Downs the Admiralty Commissioners direct you to cause the said Provisions to be put on board the three Merchant Ships, or such of them as you think fit.
