In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We have considered your letter of yesterday's date and direct that a proper Person be appointed and sent down to Plymouth to act as Clerk of the Survey and be allowed a Salary of sixty pounds per annum.
We have ordered the PLAY Prize to Woolwich to refit, and to be supplied with Stores and Provisions in addition to what she has, for service in the Channel.
You are to give directions to the Officers at Portsmouth to survey the FORESIGHT on her arrival there and report whether she is fit to proceed on her intended voyage to the West Indies.
Captain Salmon of the SMIRNA MERCHANT at the Nore informs us that the Ship is in need of Stores, occasioned by the late storm.
We enclose an extract of his letter and direct you supply her with what is needed.
Captain Tollemach has given an account of the damage received by the JERSEY in the late storm. We are sending a Copy of his letter and ask that you let us know where she should be repaired.
