We direct you to cause the Ships mentioned in the margin to be forthwith fitted out for service in the Channel, manned with their highest complement of Men, and furnished with four months victuals, also that the RICHMOND be fitted for the said service and furnished with three months Provisions.
Five ships in the margin at Chatham, commencing with the SOVEREIGN and the CORONATION at Portsmouth.
We also direct you to cause the ELIZABETH at Chatham, and the ESSEX, HAMPTON COURT, EXETER and SALAMANDER at Portsmouth to be refitted as soon as possible for service in the Channel, and the SALAMANDER be furnished with Provisions for three months, and the others for four months.
