In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Hastings, Commander of the STIRLING CASTLE, plans to send eighteen Soldiers on board the Ship to keep together such Seamen as he can get, and requests that the Soldiers may be victualled on board her.
We will allow this and therefore direct you to cause the Soldiers to be victualled accordingly.
We direct you to cause the Seamen and inferior Officers belonging to the ELIZABETH to be turned over into the SOVEREIGN.
We also direct you to furnish Captain Cotesworth with a convenient number of Tickets to secure such Men as he shall send from the North from being imprest.
