Document signed by James Southerne, Secretary to the Admiralty, fl. 1690-1694.
The GREYHOUND and ANNE Ketch have been ordered to sail to Shoreham and convoy from there to this River, the two Vessels mentioned in your letter to me of the 10th February, to be loaded there by Mr Ellis and Mr Barrett with Timber, Plank and Treenails for the service of the Navy.
I thought it fitting to give you this notice so you may direct the parties concerned in these Vessels to have them in readiness to sail against the Convoy arrives there, so that she may not stay for them.
You are also to direct that Mr Short's Vessel at Littlehampton come to Shoreham, so that she may also come under this Convoy.
