In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

A letter to this Board from the from the Lords of HM's Council dated the 24th inst; informs us that HM has appointed Sir Peter Rich, Captain Greenhill, Captain Atkinson, Mr John Carpenter, Mr Robert Henley, Mr Payte and Captain John Nicholls to be Commissioners to undertake the whole care of taking up, preparing a fitting a sufficient number of Ships to transport HM's Army, both Horses, Foot and Artillery with all necessary Provisions, to Ireland. We direct you to inform the Commissioners what directions you have already received from us relating to that Service and what else you judge necessary for them to know in order to carry on this Service. More effectively .Also inform them what shipping has already been taken up by your Orders for that purpose, both in this River and on the Western Coasts, and how forward this is.
