In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The petition of Alexander Pratt, Master of the MARY of Boroustonesse [Boness]. He complains that, his vessel having been chartered by the Victualling Commissioners to carry provisions to Whitehaven for the Army in Ireland and then to carry goods to Portsmouth, he has not been paid. His vessel has been seized by the High Court and will be sold to defray expenses unless he is able to meet his debts.
