In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Colonels Churchill and Hastings and Captains Skelton and Hopson have informed the Admiralty that they are aware of Men who are prepared to serve voluntarily aboard the ships to which the above named Officers may eventually be assigned. Orders are to be given for those who have tickets issued by the Officers to go to Chatham in order to be entered aboard the four First and Second Rates fitting out there and to assist in their fitting out, following which the Men are to be distributed among the ships assigned to the Officers. Masters are to be appointed to the Capital ships to supervise the work of the Men.
