In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The ship built at Blackwall and purchased from Sir Henry Johnson and very soon to be launched is to be named the Dreadnought and entered on the Establishment of the Navy as a Third Rate designed for service in the Channel. The Admiralty is to be advised as to the size of Crew required and the number and nature of her guns.
