Document signed by James Southerne, Secretary to the Admiralty, fl. 1690-1694.

Enclosing an extract of a letter received from the Commander of the JERSEY concerning the lack of Provisions and equipment for the Soldiers on board the Merchant ships bound for the West Indies. Orders are given for the necessary supplies to be delivered promptly in order not to delay their sailing. Southerne also wants to know by return what arrangements have been made at Portsmouth for transporting Soldiers to the same destination.
