Document signed by James Southerne, Secretary to the Admiralty, fl. 1690-1694.
The JERSEY has been detailed to convoy ships to the West Indies. Captain Tollemach has written urgently however to report that the CADIZ MERCHANT with Stores and Victuals for the West Indies Squadron has not yet arrived. The Navy Board is required to inform the Admiralty immediately of the cause of the delay as the sailing of the convoy depends on the arrival of this one ship. Officers at Deptford Yard are to be reminded of the urgent need to prepare the FUBBS, KATHERINE and CHARLOTTE Yachts for sea. They are to accompany the King to Holland and are to be ready to sail, when ordered, at an hour's notice.
