In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Their Majesties' Proclamation dated January 15th last was for the encouragement of Seamen to enter themselves voluntarily into this service, and promised Bounty Money in the proportions therein expressed, unto such as shall enter themselves within the times limited thereby.
