Document signed by James Southerne, Secretary to the Admiralty, fl. 1690-1694.

Mr Hart, the Lieutenant of the GARLAND, was sent into the Grimsby Road in Humber with a small Privateer, lately taken by the said Ship, which he writes is so much disabled that she cannot go to Sea.Cause enquiry to be made. The Admiralty Commissioners desire that you will send directions by this night post to Hull to cause such Works to be performed to the Prize, and such Stores furnished her, in order to put her in a condition to be brought to Deptford, according to the Orders which will be sent to the Lieutenant for that purpose.
Captain Skelton of the CORONATION has informed he needs a Purser. Cause an enquiry to be made after him, hasten him to his Duty, and let us know what account you shall have of him.
