In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Your letter of 3 March stated that the VICTORY now in Woolwich Dock, upon survey taken by the Master Shipwright at Deptford and Woolwich, is found to be so defective that her bottom cannot be built upon. Some of her timber and plank may be useful in the build of another ship and the last of the new 3rd Rate ships to be built this year is to be built in that yard. You are directed to have any timber and plank from the VICTORY that may be useful taken for the new 3rd Rate to be built at Woolwich. You are also directed to have the CONSTANT WARWICK now repairing at Woolwich to be sheathed before her launch.
