You are directed to have one of the new ketches now building in the River to be sheathed and fitted with all dispatch for a voyage to the West Indies, and manned to her middle complement and victualled for 8 months. You are to let us know as soon as may be which of the ketches you shall appoint for this service. You are also directed to have the HARRY prize at Plymouth, sheathed and fitted to attend on Virginia for the service of that colony. You are also to give your opinion on the number of men and the nature of guns (both for time of war and peace) fitting to be established for her.
