In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
You are directed to prepare an estimate and present it as soon as may be, of what money is due for wages on 1 November for each ship of the 1st and 2nd Rates, and 20 of the biggest 3rd Rate now in pay. We are also informed by the Cashier of the Treasurer of the Navy, that there are tallies struck on the Exchequer for the further sum of £50,000 for the Navy. You are directed to have these tallies applied to the payment of bills for stores and other services.
