In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Your letter of 19 December 1690, gave your opinion that the same number of men and number and nature of guns that were appointed for the fireships built last year, should be allowed for the 8 new fireships now building by contract. The 8 new ketches building by contract should have the same numbers as are allowed for the DEPTFORD and QUAKER. You are directed to have numbers established and for the new 4th Rates building at Deptford, Woolwich and Portsmouth as are allowed for the BRISTOL.
