In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The NONSUCH has been found leaky and worm-eaten. The Master Shipwright at Woolwich has stated that provided her hull below the waterline is sheathed with one inch [Sputia] Board and well caulked she should be able to undertake any voyage, there being no other way to restore her other than rebuilding. Instructions are given for the work to her and the KINGFISHER to be put in hand without delay with a view to completion sooner than the Navy Board's letter states. Instructions are also given for the CRESCENT Prize now at Plymouth to be delivered to Commissioners for Victualling at Plymouth for storing Beer and other Provisions.
