In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to give notice to the Officers of their Majesties' Ordnance which of the new Ships building will be first dispatched, and by what time it is probable they may be completed, so they may take care to provide the Ordnance for the Ships in a timely manner, to be ready for their launching.
The Commander of the HAPPY RETURN, now fitting at Portsmouth, has informed us that he wants Men to proceed to Sea, pursuant to the Orders he has received. It appears by the Musters of the Clerk of the Cheque at that Yard that there are two hundred and twenty five men borne on her, although only ninety six are mustered. We direct you to enquire into the reason so many Men are borne on her, when so few of them have appeared, and give us an account as soon as maybe.
