In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Her Majesty's Order in Council dated the 8th inst; declared it necessary that timely provision of Sea Victuals be made for thirty thousand Men for thirteen lunar months, commencing January the first next, ensuring to serve in their Majesties' Ships.
We direct you to prepare and present to us an Estimate as is usual of the Charge of the said Victuals, and of the Wages and Wear and Tear of the said number of Men.
You are also to return your opinion in what Ports, and in what proportions of each Port, you judge it best for the Victuals to be provided.
