In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
There having been great complaints made of almost all the new Ketches lately built for their Majesties' service, that they are very crank sided, ill contrived ,and not well built, whereby they are of very little service.
We direct you to make enquiry into the truth of these complaints, and particularly inform yourselves through whose default the Ketches came to be ill built, and report to this Board, together with your opinion what will be fitting to be done to make them more useful for their Majesties' service.
