Having considered your report of the 21st of this month concerning the hiring of some Merchant Ships to be employed as Men of War we direct you to treat further with the Owners of two of the Ships, namely the CHANDOIS and the GEORGE, for hiring those Ships, and enquire from them positive answers whether they will let their Ships for service and give us an account as soon as maybe.
