In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
By our Order of June 30th last you were directed to stop the payment of Freight due to the SUSAN ANN of Stroud, Master Richard Cleve, upon the information given us that the said Vessel had made two voyages from Newcastle with Salt and Coals while she was actually in their Majesties' service. Richard Cleve has applied to us alleging that his Vessel was discharged from their Majesties' service when he carried the Salt and Coals. We direct you to enquire into this matter, and if his allegation is true, the stop to the paying of Freight is to be taken off.
