In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Enclosure: From Captain Warren of the WINDSOR at the Downs. We are victualled with two sorts of bread one for present spending and the other for after spending, the first spending is all used. We are now using the second batch which is beginning to be mouldy. We require cask bread (Biscuit?), not available here, to be available at Portsmouth before we can proceed on our voyage. I acquaint Their Lordships that yesterday an order from Sir George Rooke in the Downs to make my way to Spithead taking with me FISHER, TIGER, (ADVICE) and VULTURE and complete the Stores and Provisioning previously ordered with all possible dispatch. We desire that our cask bread be ordered as desired in my letter.
