In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
On the 1st. March last Admiral Edward Russell ordered Captain William Wright to be Captain of HMS NORTHUMBERLAND, he is to be paid for the time he Commanded the ship if you have no objection. We are not renewing his Commission. We also direct you to pay Captain William [Bokenham] for the time he was first appointed Captain to Admiral Sir George Rooke from until last Christmas day.
