An application has been made by the Widow of Captain Anthony Hastings for the sum of £168 9s 0p disbursed by her Husband upon the procurement of men for his command HMS SANDWICH in 1692. She had 539 men entered in her books, but you report that there are no vouchers for the disbursements. Mrs. Hastings certificates that the sum was drawn up from original papers that she received after her Husbands death in action with the French Fleet which prevented him providing vouchers. We direct you to pay Mrs Harding's the sum due.
